Specimen	Collection Procedure
10 g Stool	Stool: Collect random stool without contaminating with urine. Place required amount of stool into a sterile plastic container. Seal container lid tightly. Freeze specimen as soon as possible.

Special Handling Instructions:

NOTE:  Sample MUST be shipped frozen.

Shipping:

Send frozen on dry ice. Package as required by transport system used. Ship in accordance with Transport Canada Regulations. Non-frozen sample will be rejected.

Reference Values:

Normal cut-off value:  <= 50 ug/g

Test results are to be used in conjunction with information obtained from the patients' clinical evaluation and other diagnostic procedures.

Normal cut-off value has not been established for <3 years of age.
